Welcome to the shiny new home of Japers’ Rink!

We’re so glad you’re here with us!

A couple of notes as you settle in to our shiny new digs…

  • Pardon our dust. While we are live and you’re welcome to browse around, comment, etc., it is a work in progress, and we will continue tweaking the site until our official FULL launch later this summer. Thanks in advance for your patience as we get the look and feel exactly the way we want it!
  • Archives coming soon. Along the same lines, we have manually brought over a few of our more recent pieces, but are still working on importing the full archive from the old site. So as noted above, patience is appreciated while we get caught up.
  • Blackout Lite. We are going to take some time away from the regular grind, but that doesn’t mean we’re going 100% dark. All that means is a break from Clips, recaps, and noon numbers. We’ll still provide game threads for the remaining games, some open threads to keep the community going, and even the occasional article!
  • New comment system. You will need to create a new account to comment, which should be a quick, painless process for all. Our hope, however, is that the commenting space is as good and functional as – if not better than – the old one.
  • We want to hear from you! This space is as much for you as it is for us, and we’re still learning about the different things we can do to improve the reader/commenter experience. So, are we missing features you’d like to see? Let us know!
  • Stay tuned… If you couldn’t tell from some of the previous bullet points, we are a work in progress – but that’s exciting, because it means we can continue to make this the best site we possibly can and roll out some fun new things. Most importantly, though, is the content, and we look forward to continuing to provide coverage, analysis, and opinions about our lovably frustrating hockey club for the foreseeable future (thanks to all of you!).

So welcome, make yourselves at home, and let’s go Caps!
