.741 – All-time winning percentage (via a 117-41 record) for the team that scores first in a Stanley Cup Playoffs Game Seven, per NHL.com.

So far this postseason, the Capitals are 4-1 when scoring first (including netting the opening tally in their Game Seven win over the Islanders), while the Rangers are 5-2 upon opening the scoring. In their current head-to-head series, the team that has scored first has won four of the six games (the exceptions being Washington’s Game Four win and New York’s Game Five victory).

During the regular season, the Caps (37-2-4, .860) and the Rangers (41-6-3, .820) finished first and third, respectively, in the League in score-first win percentage.
