With the Capitals right in the mix for the final playoff spot, there won’t be many games down the stretch that aren’t considered important. But tonight’s bout with the visiting Wings is perhaps even more so, with the Caps holding a tenuous one-point lead over Detroit for the second Wild Card slot.
