2 – Number of NHL forwards who have played fewer than 70 games in calendar year 2013, but have scored at least 14 goals with fewer than three coming on the power play and have a plus/minus of better than plus-five: Eric Fehr and Anaheim’s Jakob Silfverberg. That’s a mouthful, but it means that Fehr – who has 14 goals, 16 assists and a plus-12 rating (yeah, I cited plus-minus), is making the most of his limited minutes.
Fehr’s 14 goals in 66 games since the last lockout are as many as he had in the 98 games that preceded it, and his 30 points over that span as many as he had in the prior 100 games. Additionally, he’s five-for-five in shootout attempts so far this season (and year), the only shooter with more than three attempts who is still perfect. All of that for a cap hit of $600,000 last season and $1,500,000 for 2013-14 (and 2014-15).
(Oh, and h/t to winterion for the title.)
