The draft… meh. There’s no chaos when the winner only moves up two. Have to feel a little sorry for Columbus. First that they fell out of the top two. Then to have it spoiled by running the Weekes commentary heading out to commercial BEFORE the reveal.

Same. Worst possible result from my perspective, except for maybe the Pens somehow getting Bedard. Although I might still prefer that honestly. The Hawks org stinks from the head on down.
I firmly believe the NHL is too incompetent to successfully pull off half the things it’s accused of rigging, but that draft did feel rather… hmm. The optics of a pretty recently tarnished Original Six team getting the top pick, well.
I suppsoed I should just be glad they couldn’t rig it in Pittsburgh’s favor again.
