Per Alex Prewitt, the Caps have signed former Hurricanes‘ backup goaltender Justin Peters to a two-year, $1.9 million contract.
Last season Peters appeared in 21 games for the ‘Canes, posting a 7-9-4 record with a .919 save percentage, a 2.50 GAA and 1 shutout. He’s also had some strong performances against the Caps over the course of his career – in seven games against Washington, he’s gone 4-3-0, with a .938 save percentage and two shutouts.
