24 - Number of multigoal games by a Capital this season (out of 374 total Leaguewide), most in the NHL so far. The two multigoal performances by T.J. Oshie and Alex Ovechkin last night moved the Caps past Colorado (23) for the lead.
The Caps’ dueling duo also moved the team into the lead in the category of multiple multigoal games - i.e. a game in which at least two players from the same team each score at least two goals. With Ovechkin and Oshie’s pair of pairs last night, the Caps now have a League-best five such games on the books, breaking a tie for first with Vancouver (4); only four teams have had it happen as many as three times this year, with the Caps and Canucks joined by Toronto and Pittsburgh (three apiece).
