The Capitals got out of the gate first tonight! Andre Burakovsky made a gorgeously pillow-soft pass from the neutral zone to a streaking T.J. Oshie. T.J. hit the three-wheel motion and beat Matt Murray in front of everyone, how embarassing, to make it 1-0 Caps at the break.
One thing to keep an eye on: Jay Beagle got twisted up in a weird play, and left the ice favoring his lower body. Hopefully he’s able to answer the bell for the second stanza.
