Capitals vs. Golden Knights Second Period Thread

It’s Stanley Cup Final rematch night, folks, as the Capitals take on the Vegas Golden Knights at Capital One Arena.

Plenty of chances both directions in the first, but it took a Caps power play in the final minute for Nicklas Backstrom to find Evgeny Kuznetsov for the redirection in the crease. It’s 1-0 Washington after one.

One more note to keep an eye on: Brooks Orpik was hurt on a hit by Vegas’ William Carrier, and left the ice. We’ll keep an eye on him.
