Connolly tied the game at three last night at 16:12 of the third period; the game prior against Carolina, his was the tying goal at 16:52 that helped set up an even more dramatic finish. Before that, it was a tying goal at 11:22 of the third against Boston back on December 28, just over a week after knotting things up with Dallas at 16:34 of the final frame.
Three of the four goals have helped force overtime, with the fourth – that late goal against Carolina – setting up Jay Beagle’s last-second game-winner.
