Tonight's 8-Bit Lines: Flipping the D

New, comments

Per Katie Carrera, the Caps will likely go with the same forward lines as Tuesday night but will shake things up a bit on the blue line, moving Jack Hillen up to the second pair with Mike Green and dropping Dmitry Orlov back to play with Connor Carrick. With Jaroslav Halak back in net, here's a look at tonight's probable lines and defensive pairings:

21-19-8_medium

Brooks Laich - Nicklas Backstrom - Alex Ovechkin

17-90-20_medium

Dustin Penner - Marcus Johansson - Troy Brouwer

25-16-42_medium

Jason Chimera - Eric Fehr - Joel Ward

92-48-43_medium

Evgeny Kuznetsov - Jay Beagle - Tom Wilson

27-74

Karl Alzner - John Carlson

38-52_medium
Jack Hillen - Mike Green

81-58_medium
Dmitry Orlov - Connor Carrick

So that leaves Casey Wellman out as a healthy scratch, with John Erskine, Mikhail Grabovski and Aaron Volpatti out with injurie, and Braden Holtby backing up Halak.
