Capitals vs. Wild Recap: Caps Drop Second Straight Sloppy Game 5-0 to the Wild

Another flop for the Caps, this time in Minnesota.

Coming off a less than stellar game against the Winnipeg Jets, the Caps decided they wanted to partake in that again and got stampeded by the Wild. Up and down it was a pretty terrible game by the Caps and there isn’t much to say about it besides that.

Plus: There aren’t really any positives to talk about. The Caps did have some chances, they weren’t completely quiet but they didn’t convert enough and let too much in. It was nice to get Charlie Lindgren back but it was a tough game to come back to.

Minus: Everything, basically. It’s the second straight bad game the Caps played. Luckily they were on a great run before that, but it’s time to get back on the right track.

Caps Player of the Game: There weren’t many players that stood out in a positive way, but let’s go with Connor McMichael. He had a breakaway chance and a highlight reel pass to Nic Dowd in the slot. Neither went in but at least it showed some fight.
