Capitals vs. Utah Recap: Capitals Keep Swinging in 5-4 SO Loss

Did Alex Ovechkin score? Uh uh.

Plus: This was another one of those games where the Capitals were never fully out of it, despite trailing 2-0, 3-1, and 4-2 over the course of the afternoon, and it almost felt like a given that they’d tie the game at some point. Just absolutely no quit in these dummies.

Minus: Falling behind early is never good. Falling behind 2-0 within the game’s first two minutes? There are no words. Absolutely horrific start to this game for the good guys. (Honorable mention to Dylan Strome giving all of us a heart attack when he needed to be helped off the ice after a shot block, only to return minutes later…butthead.)

Our three stars:
*** Karel Vejmelka (30 saves)
** Alex Ovechkin (3A)
* Tom Wilson (2G, 1A)
