Plus: The Caps were very much not themselves for good portions of this one – unsurprising after the emotional wins against much better teams prior to this one. Props to the Sharks for making that a game and really commanding the play for the majority of regulation. For the Caps to get a point out of that? We’ll take it.
Minus: Late in a tie game, the last thing you want to do is take a penalty – and unfortunately that’s exactly what happened, with Tom Wilson going for the stick-lift and instead lifting his own stick into Macklin Celebrini’s face. Luckily the team was able to survive the first half and change to grab the point for the tie.
