Plus: The Red Wings have one of the best power plays in the NHL and the Caps did not give them a chance to use it, as they refrained from taking even a single penalty the whole game. The Caps are a strong five-on-five team, so keeping the game at even strength will always give them the advantage over most teams and that worked tonight.
Minus: The Caps gave up a few too many scoring chances against, chances that were definitely preventable with better decision and execution. Getting this close to the playoffs, you want the Caps to start cleaning that up.
