Did Alex Ovechkin score? Yes he did, boys and girls and babes! Number 35 on the season, and number 888 of his career. Only 7 to go…

Plus: Andrew Mangiapane hadn’t scored since February 4, and he finally found the back of the net again tonight. He’d been in quite a groove to start the season, so it was nice to see him score again and hopefully get some of his confidence back

Minus: The Washington Capitals took another Too Many Men penalty tonight. How do they keep forgetting how to count?

A bonus individual minus: John Carlson had another goal overturned after a coach’s challenge tonight, this time for a missed stoppage before the tally. According to Sammi Silber, that makes five overturned goals for Carly this season…what on earth did he do to anger the universe so?

Our Three Stars:
* Charlie Lindgren (27 saves)
** Alex Ovechkin (1G)
*** Anthony Beauvillier (2A)
