The Caps continue to look for consistency to their game in the new year, and get their next shot at finding it tonight against the visiting Ducks. Don’t expect it to be a revenge tour against Jacob Trouba, who injured Ryan Leonard in their last meeting (although Dylan McIlrath is dressed and no one would be sad if Big Mac roughed Trouba up just a lil bit), as the Caps need to prioritize points over payback tonight.
That’s a tough ask given their play of late; tougher given the continued absence of Aliaksei Protas and Tom Wilson’s recent injury that has him out day-to-day – but this team has proven their resilience before. Now’s a great time to break it out again.
