A shutout win in Seattle under their belt, the Caps now look to extend their successful road trip – and six-game winning streak – with a visit to Vancouver. They’ll face a Canucks team that’s been reeling a bit of late, having dropped nine of their last 10 (0-7-2, including an overtime loss in DC a few weeks ago) but which is always capable of inflicting some damage.

On this date in 1975: The Caps let a 2-2 draw slip away, eventually falling 5-2 to the Red Wings in Detroit…but one night later they’d be back in the win column, taking down those same Red Wings back in Landover, MD by a 6-3 score for their fourth win of the season. [Game Notes]
