The Caps have been on a bit of a run lately, going 2-0-1 on this recent homestand and 4-1-1 in their last six. The toughest task of the stay-at-home stretch awaits them this afternoon, when they welcome in the Avalanche for a Sunday lunchtime outing at Cap One.
The Caps put together a valiant effort the last time these two teams clashed back in January, but ultimately fell to Colorado’s superior firepower…do they have enough in the tank to get a little revenge at home? They’ll attempt to do so with the same lineup that took down New Jersey on Friday, while the Avalanche will (of course) get more dangerous with the return of captain Gabe Landeskog. Hooray…
