Did Alex Ovechkin score? Yes! Overtime game winner and career goal 874!

Plus: Logan Thompson, once again, kept the Washington Capitals in this game. With Charlie Lindgren out on IR and the crease no longer in rotation, Thompson has stepped up for his team. After stopping all 25 Ottawa shots on goal, Thompson has back-to-back shutouts for Washington.

Minus: The Capitals had been held to less than 20 shots in three of their last four games coming into tonight, and until 15:20 into the third period it looked like that trend would continue. The Capitals got outpaced most of the night, and it showed in their ability to coordinate plays and generate shots.

Our Three Stars:
* Alex Ovechkin
** Logan Thompson
*** Rasmus Sandin
