Did Alex Ovechkin score? He did indeed, boys and girls and babes! Goal 889 of his career and number 36 on the season came at 16:00 in the third to tie the game at 2-2.

Plus: The Washington Capitals’ penalty kill looked excellent tonight. The Winnipeg Jets have the best power play in the league, operating at a whopping 30.1% success rate, but the Caps’ PK was up to the task and kept them from scoring on the man-advantage.

Minus: The Caps’ PK might have looked good tonight, but their power play most certainly did not. They came into tonight riding a 0-for-14 run, and they proceeded to go 0-for-2.

Our Three Stars:
* Logan Thompson (22 saves)
** Alex Ovechkin (1G)
*** Andrew Mangiapane (1G)
