Did Alex Ovechkin score? Nope.

Plus: With a hat trick in tonight’s game, the third of his career and his first as a Washington Capital, Dylan Strome set a new career high in goals with 29. He set his previous high of 27 with the Capitals last season, and his last hatty came on January 26, 2022 as a member of the Blackhawks.

Minus: Strome caught another puck up high tonight. Thankfully he seemed to be okay—he didn’t stay down on the ice for too long and stayed on the bench after the line change.

Our Three Stars:

** Charlie Lindgren (33 saves)
