With the 90th pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, the Capitals have selected forward Eriks Mateiko from the CHL.
“Mateiko has power forward tools. He drives straight ahead and runs through defenders on his way to scoring areas. And with his 6-foot-5 frame, he takes a lot of space in front of the net.
