Three of those were and remain Caps, with Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom, and John Carlson getting a second crack at the B’s (Dmitry Orlov made his rookie debut in the regular season but missed the playoffs). On the Bruins’ side, Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, David Krejci and Tuukka Rask will renew playoff acquaintances with DC.
