3 – Number of consecutive back-to-back sets the Caps will have played by the end of this week. Their two-game series against the Devils tomorrow and Friday wraps up a rare run of back-to-back games for the Caps, following a set against the Rangers over the weekend and a two-fer against Buffalo and the Islanders last week.
This marks the first time the Caps have had three consecutive back-to-back sets in a single season since February 2011.
