In fact, per Natural Stat Trick, Oshie and Panik are second and fourth in the League in five-on-five ixG among players without a goal yet (Jeff Skinner and Viktor Arvidsson are first and third), fifth and fourth among that group in individual scoring chances (Taylor Hall is third, behind Arvidsson and Skinner), and third and eighth among that cohort in individual high-danger scoring chances. You get the point – these guys are due.
Here’s hoping that Oshie’s two-power-play-goal game on Sunday provides a spark to get him back in the five-on-five scoring column… where he belongs.
