53 - Number of points combined for Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie against the Penguins over the last six seasons, including yesterday, the most of any two teammates vs. Pittsburgh over that span. Backstrom (27 points) and Oshie (26) are also the top two individual scorers against the Caps’ frequent Metro/East Division rivals, and rank fifth and seventh respectively in points per game.

Backstrom has been putting up big numbers against the Penguins since arriving in the NHL, with 55 points in 49 career games - his third-highest total against a single team. Oshie’s career as a Penguin-killer has been more recent, lining up perfectly with his arrival in DC. Prior to becoming a Cap, he had just three points in nine games against Pittsburgh, a total he topped in his first season - 3-1-4 in five games - in Washington.
