The Noon Number: A Rocking-Chair Game

A look at a wimpy output against the Flyers yesterday

17 - Number of shots the Capitals put on net in yesterday’s loss to the Flyers, including just four in the third period (although one of those did go in). That’s tied for their lowest shot total in a playoff game in the Ovechkin era, matching their output from a 1-0 loss to the Bruins back in 2012.

The Caps have fallen short of 20 shots in a postseason game just nine times since 2007-08, and lost all but three of those.
