The Washington Capitals announced on Sunday that they have signed veteran goaltender Craig Anderson to a professional tryout agreement. Anderson, a 17-year veteran who has appeared in 648 games for four clubs in the NHL, was 11-17-2, 3.25, .902, with the Ottawa Senators last season. Those 648 appearances rank seventh among active NHL goaltenders, while his 289 wins rank ninth among active goalies. From the Caps’ public relations office:
