9 - Number of consecutive games in which Jakub Vrana has recorded at least a point. That’s a new career-high point streak (almost doubling his previous high of five games) and is tied for the longest such stretch by a Capital this season.

Vrana has racked up 11 points - eight goals and three assists - over the course of that nine-game run, tying him with Alex Ovechkin for the team lead in January. His eight goals are tied with David Pastrnak and Auston Matthews for the third-most since the start of January (Ovechkin and Chicago’s Dominik Kubalik lead the way with 10 apiece).

And don’t look now, but with 23 goals on the season, he’s just one shy of his career-high (and five short of his best point total)... with 32 games to go.
