(Ovechkin also has a game with an even-strength and a shorthanded goal, something franchise-leader Peter Bondra did 11 times, in case you were curious.)

Want more Ovechkin hat trick facts? Of course you do. How about the fact that he has as many or more hat tricks since entering the League (24) as four teams – Colorado (24), Minnesota (19), New Jersey (19), and, unsurprisingly Vegas (4)? Or that the Devils are now the ninth team against whom Oveckhin has multiple hat tricks while only ten players have as many as nine total hat tricks over the course of Ovi’s career?
