2 – Number of playoff points needed by Nicklas Backstrom to get to 100 in his career, which would make him one of just seven players in the NHL – and the second Capital – to hit triple-digits since his rookie season of 2007-08.
Backstrom already has the second-most points in the postseason of any Cap in franchise history (no prizes for guessing who holds the top spot), with 116 playoff games under his belt (also second-most in Capitals’ history).
He’ll get the chance to add to his total and hit that century mark starting Thursday when the Caps take on the Hurricanes in their first-round matchup.
