Capitals vs Hurricanes Third Period Thread

The Capitals looked much better in the second period. Most importantly, they managed to convert on a power play chance with an Alex Ovechkin one-timer from his office. They also now have more shots through two periods tonight than they did all of Monday night’s game, so that’s something. The Caps were overall the better team in the second. However, Teuvo Teravainen scored with 27.9 seconds left on the clock to restore the Hurricanes’ one-goal lead. Oof, that one’s gonna sting.
