16 - Number of empty-net goals scored by the Capitals so far this year, tying 2008-09 and 2017-18 for most in team history and tied for fourth-most in the League this season. T.J. Oshie and Alex Ovechkin lead the team with four apiece (one off of Ovi’s single-season team record of five, which he accomplished in 2008-09 and again in 2009-10).

Ovechkin holds the franchise record for career empty-netters with 33, more than double the next highest total (Mike Ridley with 16).
