A look at how the Caps are starting to tilt the rink

27.9 - Average shots-against per game for the Capitals dating back to March 1 (12 games); from the start of the season through the end of the February, they were averaging 32.4 shots-against a night, and are at 31.7 SA/Gm over the course of the full season.

More importantly, they’ve outshot teams 395-335 over that span, and posted more shots on goal than their opponent in 10 of their last 14 games (including five times by double digits). For some context, that had only happened 19 times in the previous 62 games, with shots ending up tied on three separate occasions.
