After a grim four-shot first period, the Capitals got down to business in the second. Goals from Brett Connolly, Evgeny Kuznetsov, and Tom Wilson means it’s 4-1 Caps after 40. Nicklas Backstrom also notched his 50th assist of the season. Hopefully they can keep this momentum going after intermission, because they looked good in this middle period.
