.872 – The combined save percentage for Colorado’s netminders since Thanksgiving, League-worst over that span. Former Caps Philipp Grubauer and Semyon Varlamov have given up 93 goals on 761 shots in the Avs’ 27 games over that span, with call-up Pavel Francouz ceding another two goals on 35 shots and the team giving up eight empty-netters to round out the total (without the ENGs, the team’s percentage is .881).
Grubauer is sporting the worst save percentage since late November all on his own, with a mark of .877, while Varlamov hasn’t fared much better at .879 (third-worst in the League).
The Caps will try to take advantage of this rough stretch as they host Grubauer, Varlamov and the Avalanche at Capital One Arena tonight.
