The astute reader will notice that Orlov’s high-danger pace (his event rate) isn’t tops in the League. (And it’s worth noting that there are issues with the NHL’s shot location data for games prior to October 16 that may impact the numbers a bit.) But the point remains – when Dmitry Orlov is on the ice at five-on-five, things are happening (and they’re not all good, as that ~47% HDCF% indicates).
