Well Arizona certainly jumped on Capitals in the first 60 ticks of the second frame!

Just 12 seconds into the middle stanza, Christian Fischer flicked a backhand that was ruled a save. But upon further video review, the call was OVERTURNED to a goal, on the premise that the image below showed conclusive evidence of the puck completely crossing the goal line. It was 2-0 Coyotes.

Then, just 45 seconds later, Michael Grabner got loose through the middle on a breakaway, and beat Ilya Samsonov low and outside to make it 3-0 Arizona quickly.

It was sub-optimal.

But Evgeny Kuznetsov got one back for the good guys halfway through the period, getting free on a Jakub Vrana pass that sent Kuzy diving in alone for the 5-hole goal to make it 3-1 Coyotes after two.

Third period ahead...
