On a Veterans’ Day evening when the Washington Capitals honored those who serve our country, the Arizona Coyotes showed that they had first strike capability.
15 minutes into the contest, Ilya Samsonov sprawled out and found himself on his belly away from the safety of the blue ice like a wayward seal, and Arizona’s Clayton Keller poked it under him and into the open net to give the Coyotes the early lead.
It’s 1-0 Arizona after one.
