15 – Combined number of power plays in last night’s Capitals-Maple Leafs throwdown, most in the NHL this year and the highest combined total since the Red Wings and Senators clashed for 16 back in November 2013.
As a result of that ongoing march to the sin bin, last night’s game also featured the lowest five-on-five ice time in a Caps’ game since late December 2010 (and marks the second-lowest amount of time at evens in the League this year).
Thanks, Tim Peel!
