Capitals vs. Oilers Third Period Thread

NHL: Washington Capitals at Edmonton Oilers Perry Nelson-USA TODAY Sports

The second period got off to a rough start for the Capitals when Carl Hagelin crashed into the boards and immediately went down the tunnel to the locker room. However, the Caps decided to score two quick goals to turn things around and take the lead. Jakub Vrana sniped one on a spinorama, and then 47 seconds later Alex Ovechkin notched the 666th goal of his career. #SpookySzn, am I right? Ovechkin added another goal on the board a few minutes later, this time on the power play, to give the Caps a 3-1 lead.

Pour yourself cup of coffee, the third period puck drop is happening at 11:05pm EST...
