The Noon Number: Dallas Drought

A look at a lengthy stretch of futility for the Caps in the Lonestar State

16 - Number of consecutive visits by the Capitals to Dallas without a win in regulation. The last 60-minute win for the visiting Caps over the hometown Stars dates back to October 17, 1995, when their victory was fueled by goals from Mike Eagles, Mark Tinordi, Stefan Ustorf and Dale Hunter.

Since then, they’re 4-11-1 in visits to Big D, with all four wins earned in overtime - including their last two, matching 4-3 OT victories (which incidentally is their longest winning “streak” against the Stars since they relocated from Minnesota).

The Caps will look to snap this regulation drought tonight - and a mini two-game slump overall - when they pay a visit to American Airlines Center for a date with the Stars.
