Washington Capitals v St Louis Blues

The period got off to a raucous start with a Tom Wilson vs. Robert Bortuzzo fight just two minutes in. Since this is Washington’s first game against St. Louis since Wilson’s preseason hit on Oskar Sundqvist, it was really only a matter of time.

Brett Connolly scored on his own rebound to give the Caps a 2-1 lead less than a minute after the fight, but Colton Parayko notched a power play tally and Oskar Sundqvist scored on a rebound to give the Blues a 3-2 lead after two.

The penalty-ridden second period is behind us, third period ahead...
