Capitals vs. Sharks Third Period Thread

Almost impossibly, this game got even wilder in the second frame.

San Jose’s Evander Kane scored first, chopping in a loose puck from a scrum to knot it at 3-3.

Then, just three minutes later, Evgeny Kuznetsov got a badly needed goal, collecting a rebound of his own to make it 4-3 Capitals.

Joining him was the captain Alex Ovechkin, who pumped the brakes on a streaking wing play at the five minute mark and ripped a signature wrister, his second of the game, to make it 5-3 Washington.

But Logan Couture would get one back on a 3-on-0 breakaway (you read that right), and this game sits at 5-4 after two periods.
