Plenty of fun in the first twenty minutes of Game 3!
First of all, much to the relief of Capitals fans, center Evgeny Kuznetsov was IN the starting line-up.
But the real wild moment happened six minutes into the frame. An apparent Washington goal, bringing the crowd to its feet, was waved off for goaltender interference. Devante Smith-Pelly’s formidable derriere found Marc-Andre Fleury’s supple noggin, and DSP’s asset plum near knocked the goalie into la semaine prochaine.
The Capitals managed to kill off the ensuing minor penalty, and this one remains 0-0 after one.
