In case you haven’t heard, your Washington Capitals are Stanley Cup Champions.

There are a lot of traditions associated with winning the Stanley Cup: lifting it over your head, kissing it, drinking out of it...a lot...taking it to bed? If you’re anything like us, you didn’t know that it’s also tradition for the members of the Stanley Cup winning team to have their likenesses immortalized in bobbling glory.

A company called FOCO produces these high-quality bobbleheads, and they’ll be available through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum (so you know they’re good). Presently, they’re available for pre-order. These puppies are expected to be among the most sought-after collectibles, and are fully anticipated to sell out, so act fast!

These aren’t your stadium-giveaway quality bobbleheads either. Just a quick peak at the pictures reveals a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that heeds the magnitude of the moment. Here’s a look at a couple of Ovechkin bobbles — one holding the Conn Smythe, the other with Lord Stanley.

These things are great for home, office, or as a gift. Here at the Rink, we’re extremely excited to get our hands on a full set of these bad boys once the craftsmen and craftswomen are done plying their art. We’ll examine the figures up close and personal, and let you know all about it. If you’re lucky, the Rink and the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum just may bestow a few lucky Rink readers (and Facebook fans...hint, hint) with championship bobbles this summer.

In the meantime, check out the press release.

What’s that? You want some more pictures of these bad boys? Well, alright.

Can’t forget about Slapshot. He’s put a lot of blood, beak, and feathers into this team over the year

Great stuff.
