That 1995 series was actually the third-straight in which the Caps took a 3-2 series lead, and in all three the Caps first went up 3-1. Two of those series ended in eventual Game 7 losses to Pittsburgh… but the middle one (the infamous 1994 series) saw the Caps emerge victorious in six games.
