Lots of fireworks in the second frame! Nicklas Backstrom got the Caps on the board, turning and firing a loose puck past Jake Allen and into the net to tie it at 1-1.
Less than two minutes later, Jakub Jerabek sprung Alex Chiasson with a beautiful two-line pass. Chiasson got loose on the breakaway and roofed it over Allen to make it 2-1 Caps.
THEN, Andre Burakovsky submitted a Goal of the Year Candidate, flying down the wing before hitting a forehand-backhand deke through his own legs to get around his defender. Bura then lifted a shot over Allen to make it 3-1 Washington.

But Patrik Berglund got one back for the Blues halfway through the frame, and it’s 3-2 Capitals after forty minutes.
