32.3 – Caps’ power-play efficiency (10-for-31) since February 6, best in the League.
Six different Capitals lit the lamp with the extra man (Alex Ovechkin three times, Lars Eller and Nicklas Backstrom twice each, and one apiece for each of Andre Burakovsky, Evgeny Kuznetsov and John Carlson), with Carlson’s seven points pacing the club (two more than Ovechkin and Kuznetsov).
That hot power play will be tested (again) tonight…
Of course, it’s also worth noting that the Caps’ 31 power-play opportunities (in 14 games) over that span is the third-fewest in the League, just two more than Anaheim (in 13 games) and Edmonton (in 15), and second-fewest per-game (2.21) to Edmonton (1.93).
